On this page you will find all you need to know about the Charter of Values and Global Rebrand processes. Following the adoption of Strategy 2028, IPPF is starting a process to define who we are and how we want to be seen in the world.
These questions are best answered by you – member associations, secretariat staff and allies – who are working with and for IPPF around the world. You know best what IPPF stands for, what its service users need and how to make sure that IPPF is an ambitious and progressive force for good.
On this page, we will be sharing information on how to get involved in the process, updates on consultations and the feedback received, our reflections, and working drafts of the Charter of Values.
There is space for every voice and every perspective in this process. I hope you will be able to join us on this journey and share your views and reflections and to help us define a new, refreshed IPPF.

The Journey
IPPF has been on a journey of change and renewal over the past few years. Responding to increased global opposition, the need to support activists and leaders in increasingly hostile contexts, and the desire to move closer to its members and partners, this process of renewal culminated in the adoption of Strategy 2028.
To support the implementation of Strategy 2028 and to guide the Federation forward, the Board of Trustees agreed that IPPF should develop a shared Charter of Values. It will set out what it means to be part of the IPPF Family and shape our collective identity.
Our Identity
The refreshed values and identity that will be defined by this process will then be reflected in a new, updated IPPF global rebrand. The process to develop both the Charter of Values and the new IPPF Global Rebrand was launched at the IPPF General Assembly in November 2022.
The Charter will be adopted by the General Assembly in 2025. It will be signed by all members and the Secretariat whether grant receiving or not. It doesn’t replace policy, accreditation standards or outline benefits of membership but summarises the core values that lie at the heart of the Federation.
