Congratulations to FPA India and its consortium partners.
The 2023 consortium channel RFP has now concluded. Three very different and diverse consortia applied to the channel, which this year was focussed on Biomedical HIV Prevention. The applications were of a very high standard. They all had their merrits and relative challenges.
The review process consisted of a technical review and an overall concept review. The technical review was done by technical experts from the secretariat and an external partner organisation. The concept review was done by a group of MA Executive Directors and an external partner. None had conflicts of interest.
This is the third consortium to be awarded. In 2021, the award was made to the Global Care Consortium led by Profamilia Colombia. In 2022 award went to the consortium led by the Association Burkinabé pour le Bien-Etre Familial, which is working on Gender Transformative youth Programming.
The 2023 consortium is devoted to biomedical HIV prevention. It will implement new and exciting approaches and biomedical commodities to halt the spread of HIV. The winning consortium consists of Member Associations from the following countries:
- Family Planning Association of India (South Asia Region)
- Family Planning Association of Nepal (South Asia Region)
- Federation of Reproductive Health Associations of Malaysia (ESEAOR)
- Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand (ESEAOR)
- Family Life Association of Eswatini (Africa Region)
