Finding a consortium partner across regions
The Stream 2 Consortium Channel is currently inviting Expressions of Interest to be submitted by 03 June 2022.
Member Associations will soon be reaching out to one another, in an effort to build consortia.
To make this effort easier, we are posting here a link to the current MA list as it appears on IPPF.org:
The page allows you to search the different MAs and to reach out to a contact point.
You can also leave a message and your contact details in the box below, to attract other members or to indicate your interest in joining a consortium. Please note that it may take some time for your comments to appear. Due to high spam content, all comments are approved manually.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to write to us: strategicfund@ippf.org
Good Day,
this is the first time for Teen Services to enquire about applying for a grant from the strategic fund and would like to know if there is anyone that I can speak with to answer specific questions that we have. Very interested in making an application – some questions are:
– does the consortium have to include other member associations or can they be collaborations here in Bermuda? Teen Services is MA of IPPF and the only MA in Bermuda, is that appropriate to lead as the only MA with other agencies in Bermuda and we must have at least one external partner
– what do you mean by an accredited IPPF member
– you state that a consortium should be operating in a minimum of six countries, as Bermuda is an island do I have to seek other countries to qualify
If possible, can someone contact me at 441 538 5488 (c) 441 292 4598 (w) or email below as I have so many questions that I need clarity on.
thank you,
/wendy
Hi Wendy, Thanks for your questions. The consortium channel is dedicated to international collaboration. In other words, the consortia should include members from more than two IPPF Regions. A local consortium in Bermuda would not be enough. The consortium lead has to be an accredited IPPF Member Association. Accreditation is a formal process that all MAs go through at fixed cycles to ensure they meet the federation’s set criteria. Bermuda does qualify as a country, but other countries from other regions would have to be part of the consortium.
Thank you so much. We are working with an organization in Kenya on some youth initiatives but the Kenya affiliate are not members of IPPF.
I would also like to learn more about accreditation requirements.
However, I look forward to learning more on opportunities such as this.

This is great opportunity for MA such is ours to be part of a consortium, for learning and sharing of experience in the field. thus we are up to join with another MA especially in the SADC region.
Let’s talk Louise! Please send me an email for future work.
