  1. Hello – SEXUAL HEALTH SWITZERLAND is interested in joining a consortium for the future Stream 2 project. Looking forward to have a chat.

  2. Dear All,

We are interested in the introduction of PREP as an extension of our current HIV testing and counseling services. We are currently exploring the possibility of a pilot project for the MOH to introduc PREP for MSM, Transgenders, CSW and zerodifferent couples.

Besides these target groups prioritized by the MOH, from our experiences in the field there is also a need to extend these prevention services to youth and women who have a higher risk in getting infected with HIV.

  3. Good day to all. We are writing from Mexfam, in Mexico. We would like to express our interest in participating as a consortium partner.

Mexfam can contribute through its research team to destigmatize the use of PREP in groups of sex workers, parents, non-binary and LGBT populations, muxes, young people, as well as rural and urban-marginalized communities.

From our participatory research methodology, we believe that we can provide our experience to achieve a high impact outreach in the community, through peer education and other community strategies.

We look forward to participate as consortium partners to continue improving the lives of thousands of people.

The Albanian Center for Population and Development (ACPD) is a non-for-profit non-governmental organization established in January 1993. It is Albania’s only CSO accredited member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) since 1996 and is accredited every 5 years.

ACPD has established three local branches in Tirana, Vlora, Shkodra and had activated focal points in Elbasan and Durres, with 370 active members and activists. Tirana Center “PO” (2000) and Aulona Center in Vlora (1998) are also serving as clinics equipped with modern medical devices to deliver basic healthcare service to marginalized and underserved populations, such as women from remote rural areas, rural youth, Roma and Egyptians, and migrants by licensed healthcare professionals.
ACPD has acquired a lot of expertise related to advocacy and lobbying activities in support of marginalized women and youth. It has rendered a special contribution in the national strategies on: Gender Equality; Prevention and Treatment of HIV/AIDS; Sexual and Reproductive Health.

ACPD has been part of CCM until 2019, and in 2020 it received the most recent grant from Global Fund for the program called “Scaling up and Ensuring Sustainability of the National Response to HIV for Female Sex Workers.” However, in 2009 ACPD started the partnership with Global Fund for the implementation of other programs such as to support Roma Community etc. Within the framework of the project “Scaling up and Ensuring Sustainability of the National Response to HIV for Female Sex Worker”, the ACPD clinical center in Tirana is providing free services and consultations on Sexual and Reproductive Health to vulnerable groups, particularly Female Sex Workers (FSWs).

Furthermore, ACPD has extended their support to all women and girls, including FSWs, by providing cost-free sexual and reproductive health services such as abortion and contraception. Their dedicated gynecologist offers an integrated package of services, including Pap smearing, colposcopy, pre- and post-abortion counseling, STI testing, contraception, pregnancy tests, and more. ACPD staff has provided the full package of services including HIV, Syphilis, Hep B & C rapid tests, distribution of informative leaflets and brochures and psychosocial services.

In their daily work, psychologists and outreach workers at ACPD frequently encounter numerous challenges when working with FSWs. The psychologist, outreach worker, and nurse submit regular reports to the project coordinator. These reports allow us to closely understand our clients’ issues, including risky behaviors, health risks, and sexual gender-based violence. The reports also help us improve our work and inform clients about available referral systems.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon!

We as Syrian Family Planning Association, contribute to HIV AIDs by applying VCT in our youth center and static clinics (VCT for young people , and PMTCT for pregnant women ) we as NGO couldn’t contribute in treatment , may only distribution of condom for protection is other of our contribution.
Officially government ( Ministry of Health) is the sector who is responsible for treatment .

we did the raising awareness on prevention in all our service delivery points

  12. RHNK says:

    Dear All,

RHNK is interested in being a consortium member in the scaling up of PREP in it’s all forms and research as an extension of our current HIV testing and counseling services and interventions amongst our network of providers. Currently in Kenya the Government has legalized the use of the various forms of PREP though the uptake is still significantly low due to limited information, advocacy and periodic stock outs. We intend to cure the gaps by engaging the County government HIV focal persons, Sex workers, MSM, Discordant couples, Transgender and to significantly contribute to reducing HIV rates to zero by 2030.

Our wide reach through our network of providers put as at a vintage position towards implementation success.

Besides these target groups prioritized by the MOH, we also a need to extend these prevention services to youth and women who have a higher risk in getting infected with HIV as illustrated in the Kenya Demographic Health Survey 2022.
