Draft 1 of our new strategy
Draft 1 of our next strategy is almost ready, and will be shared on 11 March. Draft 1 has not yet been viewed by the IPPF Board. It is a pre-board draft. The Board will view the draft only on 10 March 2022.
Writing Team
The draft was written by small writing team, who met in January 2022. The lead writer is Sanne Thijssen. A Dutch/Kenyan communications expert, she is the former Dutch Youth Ambassador for SRHR.
Draft 0 was developed on the basis of the vast amount of input provided by the Federation in 2021. You can see the reports and documents from Phase 2 of the design process here. You can also view the interactive map that shows our delivery contributions between 2015-2020 here.
Consultations
So far, the draft has been viewed by the Directors Leadership Team (DLT), and the Committee for Strategy, Investment and Policy (C-SIP). The Board of Trustees will view Draft 0 on Thursday 10 March. Their input is not yet reflected in the document.
Over the coming 3 months we will have several consultations. Each consultation round will take ca. one month.
There will be 3 channels for providing input. You can choose one or all of them. The consultations will happen in all IPPF languages.
- A dedicated feedback form, where you share your comments.
- A web-based questionnaire, which will pose a number of questions about the draft and how to improve it.
- A Zoom consultation, which will have group-work to shape feedback. The first consultation will be on 23 March.
Next Steps
Please look out for the email which will hit your inbox on Friday 11 March 2022. The final deadline for input in this round will be Monday 28 March 2022.
We will have the next draft ready in week 1 of April. We will then have another consultation round, using the same channels.
